Upgrading Courses
Within the Training Indonesia’s Young Leaders Programme 30 fellowships are now available for students from Islamic universities who obtained a degree in a field other than Islamic Studies.

Who can apply for an Upgrading Course?
- MA students who wish to broaden their scope
- PhD students who are in the final stage of their researh
- postdoctoral fellows who would like to write a research proposal or finalize their publication

The upgrading courses will last up to six months, are tailor-made and non-degree.
Based on the specialisation of the student, a suitable upgrading course will be drafted.
Examples are courses on Globalisation and Labour Rights (ISS), History of Science,
Education for Peace, Human Rights and Justice (Utrecht University), Crisis Management
(Maastricht University), Cultural Psychology, Business Economics, Economics
and Econometrics (University of Amsterdam) and International Law (Leiden University).
